The Head Up Project was initiated by BUCKLE UP FOR CHI and Mae Cheng. Performed at Café Paris, Sacramento, CA on January 4th 2001. Buckle Up For Chi was established to honor the memory of an amazing man whose life was tragically changed after he was involved in a car accident in which he was not wearing his seat belt. This campaign serves as a tribute to not only the legacy he left behind, but to the lives that will be saved because of seat belt awareness. This spoken word show took place on January 4, 2001 at Café Paris located in downtown Sacramento, California. Chi’s band was on Christmas break. Jonah Matranga blessed us by opening up the show, followed by a belly dancer, which is something you don’t see every day. This release is a gift to the world.
